چکیده
In the last decade, numerous Ln-bearing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been reported for luminescence thermometry applications. Although Ln3+ composition is always thoroughly determined, this parameter never optimized to improve thermometric performances. Here, optimization of performances luminescent probes tackled by reporting a series mixed Eu3+–Tb3+ frameworks. The are accessed as function Eu3+ content yielding maximum relative sensitivity between 0.19 and 0.44% K−1 registered at temperatures 340 240 K, respectively. A meticulous theoretical investigation Tb3+-to-Eu3+ energy transfer in MOFs also performed determine predominant pathway transfer. For first time, clear evidence significant influence Eu/Tb ratio on emitting centers presented that definitively determines operating temperature range thermal probes.

متن کاملRecent advances in carbon dioxide capture with metalorganic frameworks
Uncontrolled massive release of the primary greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) into atmosphere from anthropogenic activities poses a big threat and adversely affects our global climate and natural environment. One promising approach to mitigate CO2 emission is carbon capture and storage (CCS), in which ideal adsorbent materials with high storage capacity and excellent adsorption selectivity ov...
متن کاملLuminescent lanthanide-binding peptides: sensitising the excited states of Eu(III) and Tb(III) with a 1,8-naphthalimide-based antenna.
The investigation into the luminescence properties of a lanthanide-binding peptide, derived from the Ca-binding loop of the parvalbumin, and modified by incorporating a 1,8-naphthalimide (Naph) chromophore at the N-terminus is described. Here, the Naph is used as a sensitising antenna, which can be excited at lower energy than classical aromatic amino acids, such as tryptophan (the dodecapeptid...
متن کاملLuminescent 2D bismuth-cadmium-organic frameworks with tunable and white light emission by doping different lanthanide ions.
The first luminescent Bi-Cd-organic framework, Bi2Cd(2,6-pdc)4(H2O)2·H2O (2,6-H2pdc = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate), has been synthesized by using bismuth (Bi) oxides and cadmium (Cd) salts as metal sources under hydrothermal conditions. Tunable and white light luminescence was obtained through the doping of different Ln(3+) ions into the Bi-Cd-organic framework.
متن کاملTunable colors and white-light emission based on a microporous luminescent Zn(II)-MOF.
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a rapidly growing class of hybrid materials with many multifunctional properties. The permanent porosity plays a central role in the functional properties. In particular, the luminescent MOFs with a permanent porosity have wide applications in guest species recognition and adsorption. In this contribution, we aim to develop tunable colors and white-light lumi...
